$10 Well Spent (10FT USB 3.0 Extension Cable Review)

Updated: Sep 28, 2022

We’ve all been forced into uncomfortable positions due to short cables at one time or another. Stop doing this to yourself, and look at what I found!

Hey, it’s Dean with WiseBuysGuys. Today I’m going to review a product that is currently plugged into my computer! I had done a review earlier of my HP 34 Inch All-in-One computer (by the way, it is awesome), but I did lament a bit about the fact that the cord was too short for the camera!

So, I bought this cool camera that can be put anywhere on the monitor because it’s magnetic. You can move it around, and it’s really great! In fact, they tout how it’s for content creators, which is what I needed because I create content for this, another project, and then for a college where I teach. However, it comes with a 2-foot cord, and that was my only complaint, which I had mentioned in that review.

As I was filming the review, it reminded me that I should just order a cord! So, I got this 10-foot USB 3.0 extension cord that I now use with the camera. Though I bought it specifically for the camera, you could also use it for other things around the house, such as a printer, gaming console, ring lights, a mouse (does anyone put a 10ft cord on a mouse?), and any other electronic device that supports a USB 3.0 male or female plug.

After I’ve had some time to use it, I’ve found that it works great! It’s inexpensive (between $9 - $12 depending on sales), and it just works really well. There are a couple of things that really make this cord stick out, and that’s it’s strong and durable, but more importantly, it looks good.

One of my pet peeves, and the reason I bought an All-in-One computer, is that I don’t like having wires around. So, I try to hide them, but I want the ones you do see to look as good as possible. Anyway, oddly enough, this

matches the one that originally came with the camera. This is great because I like that the cable is the braided black and white pattern, as it really looks good.

So, in summary, the Itanda extension cord works great, it’s inexpensive, and it really opens up what I can do with the camera. As a matter of fact, I have a large 9 or 10-person Core tent that I want to review when it’s not so hot outside (it’s literally 110 degrees here today). Now that I have this setup, I’ll use the camera with my laptop and won’t have to worry about the 2-foot cord.

When you want something that’s grander, having a cord like this gives you so much bang for your buck at around $10. The Itanda cord gives you so much more freedom, and it really expands your possibilities in terms of use with various products.

This product is an easy 5 stars, and I feel that it’s a quick thing that everybody should probably just have on hand because it works so great.

Thanks, guys! Don’t forget to leave a comment and let us know what you think!
