Are you searching for a small and convenient coffee maker to bring on your travels or keep in your office? Look no further than Keurig K-Mini for your coffee needs!
Hey, this is Dean with WiseBuysGuys! While I love taking products that I use frequently and writing and recording reviews of them, what I’d really like to be doing is traveling around and reviewing coffee shops. Since I can’t do that, the next best thing is products that make coffee, which in this case is the Keurig K-Mini.
We’ve owned three Keurig machines over the years, and the one that’s at our house (that’s our staple) also makes lattes, but we’ll talk about that machine in a different review. The Keurig Mini we purchased while traveling because we had booked an Airbnb for five weeks in Oregon which advertised a Keurig in their listing but had an old-school coffee maker like my grandmother used to use, and I couldn’t figure it out.
So, we ordered this machine online and received it the next day, intending to give it away or sell it after our five-week stay. However, it turns out the Keurig Mini is really cool, even though I didn’t think I’d like it. And, the thing I thought I wouldn’t like turned out to be awesome!
For starters, the machine is very slim, compact, and easy to transport. The Keurig K-mini is just one small machine with a cord that tucks in the back, making it very easy to move around if you’re going to take it on a trip like to an Airbnb.
I know a lot of people have used the Keurig Mini, but I had not before buying this one. So, this particular machine just requires you to lift the lid on the top and pour in a cup of water before use. Now, the one that we use daily is set up next to our sink but has its own reservoir, so we just use the hose on the sink to fill it up. So, I thought the Mini was going to be terrible without a reservoir, but it turns out all you have to do is put water in the cup you’re already going to use and pour it into the coffee maker.
At the end of the day, the Keurig K-Mini is really good because it’s quick, seems hotter than the more expensive model, and is so easy to operate. You simply pour your water in, place the cup under the spout, and enjoy your delicious cup of coffee.
Ultimately, this is a positive review, but the product does lose a bit of its star rating just because the indicator lights are a little confusing and nondescript. For example, when you put your water and pod in and close the lid, the Keurig makes some sounds and has lights, but you don’t know when to hit the button. What I mean by this is if someone has made a cup of coffee right before you and you’re unaware, the machine takes some time to reheat. But since the Keurig K-Mini machine doesn’t tell you when it’s ready, you may hit the button and come back in a few minutes with the jitters, only to realize the coffee didn’t brew. For this reason, it would be nice to have a light that indicates something like, “Hey, we’re waiting!”
At any rate, the Keurig K-Mini Coffee Maker is really good and deserves 4.5 stars! Any way you look at it, you can’t go wrong with a Keurig!
