Google, Did You Do It? (Pixel Buds Pro Review)
Updated: Sep 17, 2022
If you’re looking for a pair of earbuds that will help you tune out the world and tune into a seamless connection to Google Assistant, then you’ll want to check out the Google Pixel Buds Pro.
Hey, this is Dean from WiseBuysGuys. I’ve used and abused more earbuds than I can recall. These are the best set of features, integration, and cost for my needs and lifestyle. Keep in mind that the framework I view earbuds through is centered on talk and video meeting quality (can others hear me well in noisy backgrounds), great transparency abilities, battery life, and Google Assistant integration. While I want my music to sound great, I don’t review earbuds from an audiophile perspective!
Let’s get on with it!
These earbuds feature Active Noise Cancellation, which blocks out unwanted noise so you can focus on your music or call. This is one of the best features of the Pixel Buds Pro! The earbuds also feature custom 11 mm speaker drivers for great sound at any volume. And if you need to hear your surroundings, the Pixel Buds Pro transparency mode is awesome - meaning that you can hear your surroundings without taking off the earbuds.

After three iterations, Google has finally done it with the release of the Pixel Buds Pro – a truly impressive pair of wireless earbuds that offers some essential features in one product: Active Noise Cancellation, great sound quality, a comfortable fit, and great battery life.
The Pixel Buds Pro are very similar in design to the previous Pixel Buds. They feature a comfortable design, with the earbuds themselves sitting snugly in your ear. These buds come with three ear tip sizes. For many years and dozens of earbuds, I have always used the medium size. For these Pixel Buds, I have been swapping between small and medium and will most likely stick with small. The Pixel Buds Pro are available in four different colors: Charcoal, Corel, Lemongrass and Fog.

For my personal needs and pet-peeve with most (all) earbuds is not being able to talk in a noisy environment without annoying or distracting the other party or meeting attendees. These buds promise, and seem to deliver crystal clear calls/meetings even in loud places. This ability is thanks to beamforming mics, a voice accelerometer, and wind-blocking mesh covers. Another success for the Pro is switching between devices. I regularly use a Chromebook, Pixel phone and Windows 11 desktop and this has been the smoothest I have ever experienced.
In terms of sound quality, the Pixel Buds Pro are excellent. The earbuds offer rich, clear audio that sounds great whether you’re listening to music or taking a call.
Here's a quick overview of some Pros and Cons I’ve noted:
Pros:
Active Noise Cancellation
Transparency mode
Great microphones
Comfortable
Long battery life
Great touch controls
Cons:
No custom EQ
Not inexpensive
Bulky for some
Overall, the Google Pixel Buds Pro are an excellent pair of wireless earbuds. If you’re looking for a pair of earbuds that offer Active Noise Cancellation, great sound quality, great transparency mode, and a comfortable fit, then the Pixel Buds Pro are definitely worth checking out.
So, there you have it! The Google Pixel Buds Pro are the latest and greatest wireless earbuds on the market. Let me know if you have any questions!
