Nostalgia, Anyone? (Victrola Bluetooth Portable Suitcase Record Player Review)

Updated: Sep 28, 2022

Sometimes it’s important to take a moment and embrace a little nostalgia. Recently I checked out this modern play on a vintage record player and wanted to share it with you.

Hey everybody, it’s Josh from WiseBuysGuys! Today I’m going to be talking about Victrolas! No, not your great-grandmother’s Victrola, but this Victrola portable bluetooth briefcase record player. I picked one of these up on Amazon for around $55 or $60 because I found a really cool record (The Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack) that I wanted to listen to but didn’t have anything to play it on.

So, let’s take a look at the Victrola Bluetooth Portable Suitcase Record Player!

Talk about a sense of nostalgia! This Victrola briefcase record player will play 45s and 33s and has Bluetooth capability, allowing you to stream to a different device. And when it comes to using this player, I do suggest that you take advantage of that option. The truth is that the built-in speaker does not produce the greatest sound in the world.

Overall though, I do think this product is excellent for the nostalgia it provides. In fact, I think it would even make a great record player for kids who want to listen to some of your old 45s or kid records - especially the ones with the little books, which are available on eBay.

That said, the Victrola portable suitcase record player is a lot of fun, and it’s analog and organic, making it a nice change for a trip down memory lane. Since it’s portable, you can literally take your records and play them anywhere!

Here’s a review of the pros and cons I found with the Victrola Suitcase Record Player:

Pros:

  • Nostalgia all day!

  • Plays 45s and 33s

  • Bluetooth output

  • Portable

Cons:

  • Sound quality from built-in speakers

  • Inexpensive build

There you have it! Overall, I must say that I do really enjoy this record player because it’s so much fun and nostalgic. However, as a product, I’m going to give it 3.5 stars, just because of the sound quality from the built-in speakers. I know the thing isn’t built like a tank and I’m not sure if it’s going to stand the test of time, so we will have to see about that.

At the end of the day, I enjoy it and enjoy listening to albums I otherwise wouldn’t be able to listen to, so I’d still pick one up - they are pretty cool!
