Finding a good hummingbird feeder can be difficult. So many of them are made from lightweight plastic that they blow away even in gentle winds. I had almost given up on finding an effective way to attract more birds to my home until I found this little “Jewel.”

What makes a hummingbird feeder good? Well, for me, it’s a sturdy glass design. There’s nothing worse than buying a cheap, plastic-made feeder that blows and spills in the wind. The Amethyst Jewel Hummingbird Feeder is heavy and does not sway in the wind.
One of the things we love the most is that it features a nice vintage look with five feeding ports. This feeder fits in well with our windchimes and gets a lot of action because of the design. Perhaps the best part is that the Amethyst Jewel Feeder is easy to take apart, which means filling and cleaning it is fast and easy.
And while some cheaper hanging feeders are hung using plastic, the hook used to hang this hummingbird feeder is metal and is attached well. Honestly, it couldn’t be any other way because the feeder is heavy. But, of course, the main reason this hummingbird feeder sticks out among the rest is due to its solid construction.
Ultimately, the birds seem to love it, and I have been able to get some great photographs. And the best thing is that, at least in my experience, they are so focused on the feeder that they let you get pretty close. So, if you’re looking for an easy way to attract more hummingbirds to your yard, this is your opportunity!

At the end of the day, if you’re looking for a way to attract more birds, you need a better bird feeder. I’ve wasted time and money on other brands of hanging hummingbird feeders, and this is the best one I’ve found so far. Just in the time I’ve had it hanging at my home, I’ve noticed an increase in bird activity. Perhaps it’s the design, or maybe it’s where I live, but there’s no doubt I’ve seen more hummingbirds since hanging this feeder than I did before.
Regardless if you’re buying the Amethyst Jewel Hummingbird Feeder for yourself or as a gift, you can’t go wrong! I give this product 5 stars and will recommend it to any hummingbird lover! The vintage design and the fact that it’s made from heavy, thick glass fits in well with other outdoor decor and is sturdy enough to last for a while.
