Simply Stunning (HP Envy 34” All in One Desktop Review)

Updated: Sep 28, 2022

If you’re shopping for a powerhouse computer that has lots of incredible features, keep reading!

Hey, this is Dean from WiseBuysGuys! Today, I’m going to review an item that I look at every day and I’ve been waiting to review. We find that some products may only need to be used four or five times before we review them, but other things we feel you should really dig in deep and use for a while - today’s item is one of the latter.

What am I talking about? My All-in-One HP Envy 34” computer. Right off the bat, I’ll tell you that this thing has been awesome!

To give you a bit of backstory, I have an Android phone and a Chromebook laptop and have used Windows desktops in the past at various organizations where I’ve been involved, and I’ve used them at home, but just for gaming. Since I don’t get to game that often, I’ve been working from my Chromebook hooked to a bigger monitor. I did this for years and was, honestly, a big whiner about Windows due to their loading times, rebooting times, and constant updates.

Though there’s still a bit of that with Windows 11, but overall I’ve been very happy. I find that the loading time is actually quick, and the computer has gone months without having to be rebooted, which is kind of unheard of for me with a Windows computer.

Overall, the HP Envy 34” All-in-One has been phenomenal! The monitor not only looks great but being a 34” flatscreen - this thing is huge! And it’s a powerhouse! I work with five different organizations and have various “desktops” that I use for each account, so I’m notorious for having a lot of tabs open at once. A few days ago I was curious about how many tabs I had at that moment, so I counted and there were over 200! Though most desktops would be considerably slowed down, this computer’s speed was not affected at all!

One thing that I consider the most taxing to a system is gaming. So, for me, the true test is how a computer performs during a game that I know is processor-intensive. If any of you guys are gamers, you may be familiar with No Man’s Sky. As I said, I don’t get to play games often (and usually build my own system for it), but I decided to go ahead and download it to see how the HP Envy All-in-One held up - it was awesome! The game had no lag, and the picture was beautiful!

The computer itself has so many great specs. The 34” All-in-One monitor (that tilts front/back and up/down), mouse, and keyboard are all nice quality, they work well, and they look great! The only thing I wish is that the keyboard had a backlight, but you can always buy a third-party one if you want.

That said, the video card isn’t top-of-the-line, but it is very good for an All-in-One. The processor is an Intel i7 and features 32 GB of ram and 512 GB of SSD memory, which is fine for me because almost everything I do is in the Cloud.

What are some things that stick out as good and bad? Well, to start, it’s just a nice setup. The system comes with a magnetic webcam that can be placed anywhere on the top or sides of the monitor because it’s all magnetic. It really gives you a lot of play with your setup, and I think this is why HP refers to this model as “The Creator.” After all, when you create content, you need to be able to move your camera to get different angles. So, I really like the camera, and it works well, but I do wish it had a zoom function. The other thing I’ll mention is that the camera only comes with a 2-foot cord which is not ideal for creators, so you may want to pick up a longer cord to use with it.

Ultimately, this is a product I’ve had for months but waited to review it because it literally changed how I worked. I’ve found that I can switch between projects, profiles, and desktops so easily, and regardless of how many tabs I have open, the computer never slows down! Another thing I love is that the HP comes with a light app that turns your entire monitor into a light control, allowing you to make portions of the screen brighter or dimmer as you need. This is a really cool function that can replace external ring lighting for shooting videos!

In the end, though the computer is on the “spendy” side, I have found it to be an amazing machine! The speed is great, it’s sleek, features every port you could possibly need, and the monitor base is even a wireless charger! I give the HP Envy 34” All-in-One 5 stars, and I think everyone should at least check it out via the link!
