Coghlan’s Pop-Up Garbage Bin is a foldable camping trash can that is ideal for use on a campsite or in an RV. The deluxe garbage bin measures 19” x 24” (48 x 61 cm) and can be used to store your camping garbage, recycling, or linens. It has a capacity of 29.5 gallons (111 liters) and is made from 600 denier polyester for maximum durability.
Previously on my camping trips, I would hook a plastic garbage bag up on a nearby tree branch. However, when it came to leaving the campsite for longer periods of time, or when sleeping at night, I would always need to move it to keep it out of the way of bears, raccoons, and any other passing animals. It was susceptible to ripping, which had a tendency to leave me with garbage strewn around my campsite.
This deluxe camping bin makes it super easy to store rubbish, with a zip-able lid that’ll stop any animals from going through the trash while you’re sleeping. It’s simple and durable, which is exactly what you need from an outdoor, moveable garbage can.
Some of the best features of this camping trash can are that it is quick to set up since it’s spring-loaded. It also has grommets along the outside edge, which make it easy to secure it to the ground to prevent it from blowing over in the wind.
The clips on the top inside edge can be used to secure your inner garbage bag so that it doesn’t slip down inside the can, and it has a useful pocket on the top, which I use for storing my garbage bags so that I never forget them. It also has a pocket on the side, in case you have multiple bins and want to label them.
The zip on the top of the can is super smooth and it has handles on either side, which make it easy to transport around your campsite.
In summary, Coghlan’s Pop-Up Garbage Bin is a fantastic way to keep your trash secure and out of the way on your next camping trip. It’s incredibly robust and is easy to set up and secure to the ground when you want to keep it out of the way of animals. The extra features such as the grommets on the base of the bin and the inner clips really make this bin worth the investment.
